Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security information/event management (SIEM) alerts to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
- Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis across hybrid environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and PCI-DSS standards
- Develop incident response playbooks and conduct tabletop exercises for crisis preparedness
- Generate executive-level security reports and present findings to leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CISA, or CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence methodologies
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Excellent analytical skills with ability to prioritize high-velocity threats
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred but not required
