Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and analyze logs for suspicious activity
- Lead incident response investigations, including containment, eradication, and recovery processes
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat intelligence sources (MITRE ATT&CK, Dark Web)
- Perform forensic analysis of security incidents and provide detailed recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM tools
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CISM a plus)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Experience with threat hunting and incident response methodologies
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to security incidents 24/7
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
