Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms, investigating potential threats with rapid response protocols
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents, documenting root causes and implementing remediation strategies
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts to enhance threat detection efficiency
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on client infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement zero-trust security architectures
- Stay current on emerging threats and threat actor methodologies through continuous research
- Present security posture reports to executive stakeholders with actionable recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (required), GIAC or CompTIA CySA+ (preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions (CrowdStrike, SentinelOne)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance requirements
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to prioritize high-velocity threats
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network architecture
