Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate cybersecurity incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement remediation
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for threat detection and response
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement network security controls and best practices
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities (CVE analysis)
- Support compliance initiatives (NIST, ISO 27001) and risk assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or similar role
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) strongly preferred
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, network security protocols, and threat intelligence
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex security data
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and endpoint protection
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Active DoD 8570 compliance (if applicable)
