Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and investigate security alerts using Splunk and IBM QRadar
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus and Burp Suite
- Respond to incidents with NIST SP 800-61 framework compliance
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Perform penetration testing and threat hunting exercises
- Collaborate with IT teams on security architecture improvements
- Generate executive-level security reports and metrics
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or SOC environment
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification required
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR solutions
- Hands-on experience with network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS)
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Proficient in Python/PowerShell for automation
- Ability to work rotating shifts (24/7 operations)
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
