Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and analyze security alerts to identify potential threats
- Conduct incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and document findings
- Develop and implement security monitoring dashboards and automation scripts
- Collaborate with IT teams to remediate vulnerabilities and harden systems
- Generate comprehensive security reports for stakeholders and leadership
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend defensive improvements
- Participate in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations, SOC, or incident response roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and threat intelligence platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and NIST frameworks
- Experience with IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection solutions
- Proficient in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
