Responsibilities
- Monitor 24/7 SIEM alerts (Splunk/Symantec) for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches using EnCase/FTK
- Develop and implement NIST 800-53 compliant security controls
- Perform vulnerability assessments using Qualys/Nessus scans
- Collaborate with IT teams on zero-trust architecture implementation
- Generate executive-level threat intelligence briefings
- Lead quarterly tabletop exercises for incident response teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations or incident response
- Active CISSP or CEH certification (required within 6 months of hire)
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Proficiency with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant/Recorded Future)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and container technologies
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations during security incidents
