Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support to identify system weaknesses.
- Respond to security incidents and manage the incident response lifecycle from detection to remediation.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and patch management strategies.
- Generate and present regular security posture reports to senior management.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or a related role.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GIAC GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation and log analysis.
- Experience with firewall management, IDS/IPS, and DLP solutions.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills under pressure.
