Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct threat intelligence research to identify emerging attack vectors and vulnerabilities
- Lead incident response investigations including containment, eradication, and recovery activities
- Develop and implement security controls aligned with NIST and CIS frameworks
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Generate executive-level security reports and metrics for stakeholder communication
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience with SIEM implementation
- Active CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification
- Proficiency in threat detection tools (CrowdStrike, Darktrace, AlienVault)
- Experience with cloud security platforms (AWS GuardDuty, Azure Sentinel)
- Strong knowledge of network protocols and attack methodologies
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure incident response scenarios
