Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing using Nessus/Burp Suite
- Develop incident response playbooks and security documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement zero-trust architecture controls
- Analyze malware samples and IOCs using tools like Wireshark and IDA Pro
- Generate executive security reports and compliance documentation
- Stay current on emerging threats via MITRE ATT&CK framework
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on SOC experience with incident response
- Certified CISSP, CISM, or Security+ with CEH preferred
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and GRC tools
- Strong analytical skills with threat hunting methodologies
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
