Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement remediation
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends to recommend proactive measures
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, HIPAA) and audit preparations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Industry certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security technologies
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and encryption protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and vulnerability scanners
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Valid U.S. work authorization and ability to obtain security clearance if required
