Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to identify and mitigate threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR) across cloud and hybrid environments
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry-specific regulations
- Develop threat intelligence reports and vulnerability assessments for executive stakeholders
- Participate in red team exercises and penetration testing to strengthen defensive capabilities
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches, ensuring minimal business disruption
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations or threat detection
- Professional certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC preferred)
- Expertise in SIEM tools, network protocols, and cloud security architecture (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to correlate complex data across multiple systems
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence methodologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 SOC environment
