Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to identify anomalous activities
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and coordinate cross-functional remediation efforts
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Conduct threat intelligence analysis to anticipate emerging attack vectors
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in SOC or incident response roles
- Industry certifications: CISSP, CEH, or Security+ (required)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and threat intelligence
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred
