Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Investigate security incidents, determine root causes, and implement remediation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for incident response
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required (CISA/GCIH preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection)
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and compliance frameworks
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel 10% of the time
