Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct incident investigations, forensic analysis, and remediation of security breaches
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including playbooks and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of systems
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
- Support compliance initiatives (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) and audit preparation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Certifications: CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, threat intelligence platforms, and endpoint protection
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and containerization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
