As a key member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you'll work alongside industry experts to identify threats, implement protective measures, and maintain compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security incident response plans and playbooks
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network security posture across all environments
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend defensive countermeasures
- Manage security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection platforms
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent security certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and network security tools
- Strong understanding of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Valid New Mexico driver's license (for occasional client site visits)
