Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and analyze network traffic for anomalies
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation efforts
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and policies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on systems
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Assist in security audits and compliance reporting (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or related IT security role
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Certification required: CISSP, Security+, or CEH (CompTIA Security+ acceptable)
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM platforms, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners
- Experience with Windows/Linux system administration and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during incidents
- Strong written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation
