Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms and security tools to detect and respond to threats in real-time
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and compile detailed incident reports
- Implement and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and industry standards
- Develop playbooks for incident response and disaster recovery scenarios
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of critical systems
- Provide security awareness training to employees across the organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in security operations center (SOC) environments
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks and MITRE ATT&CK
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerized environments
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
