Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated test scripts to identify defects, bugs, and anomalies in web and mobile applications.
- Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test data.
- Document and track bugs using JIRA, ensuring clear communication with the development team.
- Perform regression testing to ensure recent code changes have not negatively impacted existing functionality.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to understand requirements and provide feedback during the development lifecycle.
- Analyze system behavior and logs to troubleshoot complex issues and root cause analysis.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and testing tools to recommend improvements to our QA processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, life cycles, and best practices.
- Experience with manual testing and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium).
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Proficiency in SQL for database querying and verification.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
