Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec)
- Lead incident response for malware, phishing, and DDoS attacks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Collaborate with IT teams on secure architecture designs
- Ensure compliance with NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA standards
- Provide 24/7 rotational on-call threat coverage
Qualifications
- 3+ years cybersecurity experience in SOC or threat detection
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell)
- Hands-on experience with threat intelligence tools
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
- Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
