Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for security anomalies and incident investigation
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Develop and maintain security documentation including playbooks and incident response plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Analyze malware samples and emerging threat intelligence using tools like Wireshark
- Lead incident response activities including containment, eradication, and recovery
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and industry-specific regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools and network security protocols (TCP/IP, IDS/IPS)
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (must be eligible)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
