Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents using Splunk and ArcSight SIEM platforms
- Conduct proactive threat hunting using MITRE ATT&CK framework and Purple Team exercises
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on cloud and hybrid environments
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response and forensics
- Generate executive-level security dashboards and compliance reports for PCI-DSS/NIST frameworks
- Lead incident response coordination with cross-functional teams during security breaches
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence repositories
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in SOC operations, threat detection, or incident response
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA CySA+ certification (required)
- Expertise in SIEM tools (Splunk/Splunk ES, QRadar) and EDR platforms
- Hands-on experience with network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation tasks
- Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for stakeholder reporting
