Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) to detect and respond to potential threats
- Conduct forensic investigations of security incidents and develop comprehensive incident response reports
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and on-premise infrastructure
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Develop security awareness training programs and conduct phishing simulations
- Stay current with emerging threats through threat intelligence analysis and research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GIAC) required
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners, and firewalls
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and zero-trust architectures
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST SP 800-61)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex security concepts
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (or ability to obtain)
