Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts across SIEM platforms to detect and respond to threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on Alaskan energy/utility systems
- Develop incident response playbooks and lead breach containment activities
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption)
- Generate executive security reports and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into cloud migrations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Cybersecurity or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Active CISSP or Security+ certification
- Experience with NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation
- Knowledge of Alaskan regulatory landscape preferred
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts for 24/7 coverage
