Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) for real-time threat detection and analysis
- Investigate security alerts, conduct root cause analysis, and document incident reports
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on enterprise systems
- Collaborate with network engineering to implement security controls and hardening measures
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response procedures
- Provide monthly cybersecurity awareness training to department staff
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices (MITRE ATT&CK framework)
Qualifications
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, threat intelligence, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent experience)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Nessus, Qualys)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux systems and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for technical documentation
- Active DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain within 30 days
