Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement security controls to protect networks, systems, and data
- Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and create remediation plans
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive summaries
- Stay current with emerging threats and recommend security improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity analysis or information security roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and incident response procedures
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Knowledge of cloud security (AWS/Azure) and compliance frameworks
