Responsibilities
- Monitor SIEM platforms (Splunk/Symantec) for security incidents and anomalies
- Conduct vulnerability assessments using Nessus/Qualys tools
- Investigate security alerts and coordinate incident response procedures
- Develop and maintain security documentation (playbooks, policies)
- Perform penetration testing on internal/external systems
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening initiatives
- Generate executive-level threat intelligence reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in security operations or incident response roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools and EDR solutions
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Proficiency in scripting (Python/Bash) for automation
- Active TS/SCI clearance preferred (not required)
