Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents within the SIEM environment.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security controls to protect data integrity and confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to integrate security best practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2).
- Provide security awareness training to employees to foster a culture of security.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, Security+, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or information assurance.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and log analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting findings to stakeholders.
