Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to identify and investigate potential security incidents
- Analyze network traffic, logs, and alerts to detect malicious activity and vulnerabilities
- Conduct forensic investigations and document incident response procedures
- Develop and maintain security dashboards, reports, and metrics for leadership
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
- Participate in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or GIAC certification preferred
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, or ArcSight)
- Strong understanding of network protocols and security architectures
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms and malware analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
