Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cyber threats in real-time
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and implement incident response plans for security breaches and cyberattacks
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and compliance standards (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Analyze network traffic patterns to detect anomalous activities and potential intrusions
- Create detailed security reports and executive summaries for stakeholders
- Stay current with emerging threats and defensive technologies through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or incident response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners (Nessus, Qualys)
- Strong understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption technologies
- Experience with Windows/Linux systems and cloud security frameworks (AWS/Azure)
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
