Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and SIEM data to identify, analyze, and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify system weaknesses.
- Implement and manage security solutions, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs.
- Investigate security breaches and lead incident response efforts to minimize downtime and data loss.
- Enforce security policies and ensure compliance with standards such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and ISO 27001.
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity or network administration.
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, OSI), operating systems (Windows/Linux), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
- Hands-on experience with security tools such as Splunk, FireEye, CrowdStrike, or similar SIEM platforms.
- Knowledge of cryptography, authentication mechanisms, and access control models.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC are highly preferred.
