Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct forensic investigations on security incidents and breaches
- Develop and implement incident response playbooks and mitigation strategies
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Generate comprehensive security reports for executive stakeholders
- Collaborate with network engineering teams on security hardening initiatives
- Maintain compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
- Mentor junior analysts on threat intelligence and best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations or threat analysis
- Active CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CEH certification
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint protection
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 SOC environment
- Excellent written communication for incident documentation
