Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Manage and configure network security appliances, including firewalls and VPNs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and HIPAA.
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to remediate security flaws and improve system resilience.
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports accurately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, network security, or SOC operations.
- Certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCIH are highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI models, and encryption protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell for automation tasks.
- Excellent analytical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills.
