Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and vulnerability assessments across cloud and on-premise environments
- Lead incident response investigations and coordinate remediation activities
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts using Python or PowerShell
- Generate comprehensive security reports and executive dashboards
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices and compliance frameworks
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry trends through continuous research
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in SOC operations or threat analysis
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, GIAC preferred)
- Proficiency in network security tools (Nmap, Wireshark, Burp Suite)
- Strong understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework and threat intelligence
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and IAM controls
- Excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
