Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems 24/7 to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation including incident response plans and threat intelligence reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and ensure compliance with NIST frameworks
- Lead forensic investigations during security breaches to determine root causes and mitigation strategies
- Analyze network traffic and system logs to identify anomalous behavior and potential threats
- Stay current with emerging cyber threats and recommend security improvements to leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or threat analysis
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency with SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar) and IDS/IPS technologies
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and encryption standards
- Experience with threat intelligence tools (Mandiant, Recorded Future)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
