Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and respond to cybersecurity incidents
- Conduct forensic investigations of security breaches and provide detailed incident reports
- Implement vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies and procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and best practices
- Stay current on emerging threats and recommend mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in threat detection and response
- CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Strong knowledge of NIST frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience with incident response playbooks and forensic tools
