As a Cloud Engineer at Apex Cloud Systems, you will be at the forefront of digital transformation. You will design and manage robust cloud infrastructures, ensuring security, availability, and cost-efficiency. This is a hybrid role offering the flexibility of remote work with the collaborative energy of our Scottsdale office.

Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage secure cloud infrastructure using AWS and Azure services.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) strategies using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes.
- Monitor system performance and optimize cloud resource utilization to reduce costs.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to enhance containerization strategies (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
- Conduct regular audits and provide technical mentorship to junior engineering staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud Engineering or Solutions Architecture.
- Strong proficiency in AWS (or Azure) core services, networking, and compute/storage.
- Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.
- Certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional are highly preferred.
- Proven track record of troubleshooting complex system issues in high-availability environments.
