Responsibilities
- Design and implement ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and generative AI models
- Lead interdisciplinary research on bias mitigation, explainability, and value alignment
- Develop audit protocols for AI fairness and transparency in high-stakes domains
- Translate complex ethical concepts into actionable engineering guidelines
- Collaborate with product teams to embed ethical safeguards into AI pipelines
- Author white papers and policy recommendations for regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior researchers and organize ethics-focused symposiums
Qualifications
- PhD in Ethics, Philosophy, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of AI research experience
- Expertise in machine learning fairness metrics and adversarial robustness techniques
- Published work in top-tier AI ethics conferences (e.g., FAccT, NeurIPS Ethics)
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (PyTorch/TensorFlow) for empirical validation
- Experience advising on AI governance frameworks for multinational corporations
- Deep understanding of philosophical frameworks (utilitarianism, deontology) applied to AI
- Strong track record of translating research into industry-relevant guidelines
