Responsibilities
- Lead strategic technology forecasting for 2026+ market trends and disruptive innovations
- Develop and execute R&D roadmaps for next-gen AI, IoT, and quantum computing applications
- Partner with product teams to integrate emerging technologies into commercial solutions
- Conduct competitive analysis and patent landscape reviews for emerging tech domains
- Present visionary technology blueprints to investors and executive stakeholders
- Build and mentor a cross-functional innovation lab focused on 2026 horizons
- Secure strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Expertise in emerging tech trends: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech convergence
- Proven track record of launching market-defining tech products/services
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies (PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in tech journals (IEEE, Nature, etc.)
- Experience securing $10M+ in innovation funding or grants
- Strong network with Silicon Valley VCs and research institutions
- Certified Futurist (CF) or equivalent strategic foresight designation
