- Produce scenario analyses for geopolitical shifts and their impact on tech adoption patterns
- Establish KPI frameworks for measuring long-term innovation ROI and sustainability metrics
- Partner with venture capital arms to scout emerging startups for strategic acquisition or partnership
- Author thought leadership publications on future technology trends and their societal implications
- Mentor junior futurists in horizon scanning methodologies and trend synthesis techniques
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging technology consulting
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or relevant technical field
- Proven expertise in scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEPLE)
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Experience publishing white papers or presenting at global innovation forums
- Certification in Futures Thinking or Strategic Foresight (e.g., from University of Houston)
- Portfolio demonstrating successful long-term technology commercialization
- Fluency in data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) and predictive analytics platforms
