Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 technological milestones
- Develop strategic roadmaps for emerging tech integration into commercial products
- Secure $5M+ in annual innovation funding through compelling stakeholder presentations
- Mentor a team of 12 futurists and engineers through agile development cycles
- Establish industry partnerships with top-tier research institutions and Fortune 500 companies
- File 3-5 patents annually for proprietary breakthrough technologies
- Present findings at global innovation summits and publish in top-tier journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurist Studies (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in R&D leadership with 3+ years in emerging tech commercialization
- Proven track record launching products with $50M+ market impact
- Expertise in at least two of: AI ethics, quantum algorithms, synthetic biology
- Exceptional ability to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies
- Published author in peer-reviewed innovation or technology journals
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming frameworks
- Validated ability to secure federal SBIR grants and private venture capital
