- Lead moonshot projects with $10M+ R&D budgets in emerging verticals
- Present future scenarios to C-suite and board of directors
- Build ecosystem partnerships with NASA, DARPA, and academic institutions
- Author annual 'Future State' industry forecast reports
- Mentor 5-person innovation lab on exponential technologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Computational Biology with 8+ years experience
- Published work in Nature/Science on emerging tech (2019-2023)
- Track record scaling moonshot projects from concept to commercialization
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, or climate tech
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools (STEEP, Delphi method)
- Previous experience with federal R&D funding (SBIR/STTR)
- Portfolio of 3+ patents in exponential technology domains
