Responsibilities
- Develop 2026+ technology roadmaps for quantum computing, neural interfaces, and synthetic biology applications
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and design teams
- Conduct horizon scanning of emerging technologies and geopolitical trends
- Architect ethical frameworks for AI/automation deployment in critical infrastructure
- Secure $5M+ in innovation grants and partnerships with DARPA and NASA
- Publish annual 'State of 2026 Innovation' industry report
- Mentor PhD candidates through NextGen's future-tech incubator program
Qualifications
- PhD in Futurology, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years in strategic innovation with Fortune 500 tech firms
- Published research in Nature Futures or similar journals
- Expertise in scenario planning and probabilistic forecasting methodologies
- Proven track record of scaling experimental technologies to commercial deployment
