This role demands a strategic architect who can decode emerging technologies and societal trends to shape our innovation ecosystem. You'll collaborate with quantum computing pioneers, bio-engineering labs, and AI ethics councils to transform theoretical possibilities into market-ready solutions.
Our San Francisco hub offers unparalleled resources including a nanotech fabrication lab and neuro-interface testing facilities. This position reports directly to our Chief Futurist and includes equity participation in our spin-off ventures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology foresight roadmap integrating AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-disciplinary 'Future Scenario' workshops with engineers, designers, and sociologists
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Present strategic recommendations to executive board and investor consortiums
- Manage innovation pipeline from concept prototyping to market validation
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and national research labs
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in strategic innovation or technology foresight roles
- Published thought leadership on emerging technology impacts
- Experience with scenario planning and trend analysis methodologies
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Track record of scaling innovations from R&D to commercial deployment
- Certification in Technology Assessment or Horizon Scanning (required)
