Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers and virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Monitor system health, performance, and security across on-premises and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement disaster recovery protocols and backup solutions with 99.9% uptime SLA
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network firewalls (Palo Alto/Cisco)
- Troubleshoot hardware/software issues and automate routine tasks using PowerShell/Python
- Document systems architecture and compliance policies (SOC2/ISO27001)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on DevOps initiatives and cloud migrations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on system administration experience with Windows Server 2019+ and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi), cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or equivalent cloud certification (AWS/Azure)
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python/Bash) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs) and security best practices
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to work flexible hours on-call rotation and prioritize critical incidents
