Responsibilities
- Server & Network Administration: Manage and maintain Linux and Windows Server environments, ensuring optimal performance and uptime for all critical services.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement, and manage scalable solutions using AWS or Azure, facilitating seamless cloud migrations.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce robust security protocols, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure compliance with SOC2 and industry standards.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain Python and Bash scripts to automate routine IT tasks, reduce manual errors, and improve operational efficiency.
- Disaster Recovery: Oversee data backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and execute business continuity protocols during emergencies.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior IT staff, conduct technical training sessions, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Hardware & Vendor Management: Coordinate with third-party vendors for hardware procurement and manage IT asset lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in System Administration or DevOps engineering in a corporate environment.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Operating Systems: Deep knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) and Windows Server administration and configuration.
- Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, and VLANs.
- Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
