Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct threat hunting and forensic investigations of security incidents
- Develop and maintain security playbooks for incident response procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Generate comprehensive incident reports and executive summaries
- Stay current on emerging threats and vulnerabilities via threat intelligence feeds
- Participate in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations or SOC roles
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in SIEM tools, firewalls, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP, and cloud security (AWS/Azure)
- Experience with incident response frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 SOC environment
