Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (Splunk/Sentinel) to detect and respond to potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in our network and applications.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss while documenting findings.
- Configure and manage firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs to secure network perimeters.
- Ensure strict compliance with internal security policies and external regulations such as HIPAA and PCI-DSS.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and software updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a SOC (Security Operations Center) or cybersecurity analyst role.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GCFA are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Proficiency in security tools like Splunk, FireEye, or CrowdStrike is required.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
