Responsibilities
- Threat Monitoring & Detection: Monitor security alerts and events through SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to identify and investigate potential breaches.
- Incident Response: Lead the technical investigation and remediation of security incidents, following established incident response playbooks.
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, risk scans, and penetration testing coordination to identify system weaknesses.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards such as NIST, HIPAA, and GDPR through documentation and audits.
- Security Architecture Support: Assist in configuring and maintaining firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Threat Hunting: Proactively hunt for advanced persistent threats (APTs) and malicious activity within the network.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Certification: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC certification is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC analysis, or network security.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in TCP/IP, OSI model, Linux/Windows administration, and scripting (Python or Bash).
- Tools: Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and DLP solutions.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
