Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, Azure Sentinel) to detect and respond to suspicious activity in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in network architecture.
- Investigate and remediate security incidents, including malware analysis and phishing attempts.
- Manage user access controls and ensure adherence to compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security patches and configure firewalls.
- Develop and update security policies and run regular security awareness training for employees.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Security Analyst or in a related role.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
- Proficiency in using SIEM tools and log analysis techniques.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure during active security breaches.
